The dream act established a lot of controversial arguments. It basically was set up to stop the deportation temporarily of undocumented children in the U.S. This is what got many people talking, and it showed the true colors of many people, surprisingly of the same race.

This Site talks about the violence going on in Mexico, which is one of the major reason people are deciding to leave; and one of the major reasons some Americans hate Mexicans.

Executive Order
This video is Obama explaining the executive order, it was suppose to a huge thing for immigrants this year, but it "temporarily" was put on hold. It would have gave many qualifying immigrants the opportunity to stop living in the shadows. Its important because many republicans were against it, which is why it was put on hold. What i find interesting is that many of those who were so against this and things like the dreamers act end up being other people from the same race.

Statistics on Immigrants
This website was interesting because it provided a ton of data of immigration. It talked about things like how many people gained green card in the past year, children who have immigrant parents, what types of jobs immigrants seek for, and how many people were deported. It is important to have some sort of quantitive data on immigration in order to get a better idea on why it is becoming such a huge issue.

Immigration in the US
This site talks about the different ports people used to enter the U.S, and also why before people migrated to America. I just think it is useful to have some background information on how immigration started.
